Ansgar is Head of HPs Global Strategy Program. He provides advice and support to business leaders on political megatrends and macro-economic developments. Ansgar is member of HPs Cybersecurity Management Review Council. Ansgar publishes regularly on digital policy issues, e.g. Kompendium Industry 4.0 in 2015 on the role of digital platforms.
Ansgar joined HP in January 2012. Prior to his current position Ansgar was Director of Government Relations at SAP, also based in Berlin. Before, he worked four years for Germany´s Federal IT Association BITKOM with focus on Economic and Innovation Policy. Ansgar started his professional career as an analyst at German Intelligence Service.
Ansgar holds a Diploma in Political Science from Free University in Berlin (grade very good), and a Master of Science in International Strategy and Economics from University of St. Andrews (with distinction). He is a German Marshall Fund Memorial Fellow 2017.
